At Advanced Physiotherapy, we want to ensure you and our staff that your health and safety is our number one priority. You may notice some changes to our health and safety protocols!
Pre-arrival Check List:
Prior to your appointment, all patients will be sent the Advanced Physiotherapy COVID-19 Policy, and Consent for Treatment forms to be read, signed and emailed back or brought with you to the clinic.
Returning patients will be asked to fill out the Patient Screen Questionnaire every time they visit the clinic and is Government required.
We ask patients to arrive alone unless you require an assistant/caregiver or a minor under the age of 16 years old. If you require assistance at your appointment, all guests will be asked to complete and pass the Pre-Screening Questionnaire form.
Washroom is limited to only emergency needs for public use in the clinic. We encourage you to use the comfort of your washroom facilities prior to you leaving your house.
Arrival Check List:
At the front desk, all patients will be asked if they have read and signed the Covid-19 and Consent for Treatment forms.
Patients will be asked by the front desk staff to confirm again if you have passed the Patient Pre-Screening Questions.
We ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes early, we ask that you wait in your car or outside (weather permitting).
For your protection and the protection of others, we ask that each patient arrive wearing a mask or a mask will be provided upon check-in for $2.00.
Upon entering the clinic, there will be a hand sanitizing station to your left that we encourage you to sanitize at this time.
Floor signs will indicate where to stand/wait until you are escorted to your physiotherapist treatment room. Treatment rooms have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in between every patient.
What you can expect from us:
We have acquired all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in protecting and preventing the spread of coronavirus.
We have acquired all our sanitization products that follow the Health Canada guidelines from hand sanitizers, hand/equipment wipes and disinfecting products.
Your physiotherapist will be washing or sanitizing their hands each time they put on or take off their gloves or masks and in between patients.
Signage is placed near our sinks outlining the procedures for proper handwashing and sanitizing of hands.
After Your Appointment:
All payments will be directed to the front desk where a glass partition is placed for the safety of patients and staff.
We encourage our patients to tap their credit/debit card when making payment.
Follow-up appointments can take place at the time of payment or if you prefer at home through online booking or telephone.
Please be sure to sanitize your hands after the removal of your mask. Paper masks may be disposed of in the waste bin near the exit.
TeleHealth:
We continue to offer Telehealth (virtual rehabilitation) services. Remember, not all patients and injuries are appropriate for telehealth. We suggest giving our clinic a call to find out whether you're a good candidate for telehealth.
