Telerehabilitation/telehealth and/or virtual care is a communication tool that allows your physiotherapist and you to communicate with each other via video conferencing technology similar to a Facetime or Zoom video call. We use specialized software and assessment techniques to accomplish physiotherapy goals.
We can measure your movement online, stream exercises and instruct you to understand how much, how often, and how hard you should do that exercise, educate you on your injury, use specialized digital tools for tracking your progress, and more. You might be surprised by working together just how much we can do!
Not all patients and injuries are appropriate for telehealth. We suggest giving our clinic a call to find out whether you’re a good candidate for telehealth.

HOW DOES TELEREHAB WORK?
Prior to your appointment, you will receive (via email or text) a link to your Advanced Physiotherapy appointment session. This will enable both an audio and video connection between you and your physiotherapist.
Any documentation that you need to review and complete prior to your appointment will be sent to you ahead of time.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST VIRTUAL HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY APPOINTMENT?
At the beginning of a telerehabilitation session, the physiotherapist will review your ID, obtain consent to participate in the session via the electronic communication platform and will then proceed with the assessment or treatment in a similar manner as for an in-person appointment, including discussing your medical history, concerns and current status.
